Description
It is platelet purinoreceptor-P2Y 12 antagonist that acts by inhibiting adenosine diphosphate-mediated platelet aggregation. It is given for the prophylaxis of thromboembolic events as an alternative to aspirin in patients with chronic occlusive peripheral arterial disease.
